Featured Article: Numéro China 2013 Covers Recap

One of China’s leading fashion photographers, Yin Chao photographed two cover slots for his hometown Numéro this year. He worked with model Abigaile Ge for the fantastic January cover, and he also collaborated with Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi for the black and white June/July issue.

Fellow Chinese photographer Li Zi shot the April issue with Ruoyang He, while last year’s Numéro China favourite model, Xiao Meng Huang worked together once again with Tiziano Magni from Italia for yet another cover. Last year alone, Xiao Meng Huang landed 4 front page slots for the magazine!

Phillip Dixon, Ellen Von Unwerth, Txema Yeste, Daniel Sannwald, Anthony Maule, and Benjamin Lennox also contributed for the magazine this year. They photographed models and actress Tajtana Patitz, Anna Ewers, Keke Lindgard, Guinevere Van Seenus, Toni Garrn, Tao Okamoto, Kirsten Owen, and Sung Hee Kim respectively. Our favourite this year are the works from Spanish born Txema Yeste who shot Guinevere Van Seenus and Toni Garrn for August and November issue. Which one is your favourite?

Featured Article: Numéro China 2012 Covers Recap

Talk about model love. Numéro China really, really in love with Xiao Meng Huang. They excessively used her in four (!) different cover slots in 2012. The Chinese model who is represented by DNA Models in New York was featured on the magazine’s January/February, May, October and November issue respectively. She got the chance to work with stylist Joseph Carle and photographers Yin Chao and Tiziano Magni multiple times last year.

Following her trail is fellow model Xiao Wen Ju, who graced two front pages (April and June/July) for Numéro China, both photographed by Tiziano Magni. The Italian born photographer snapped most of the covers for the magazine in 2012. Other than the mentioned names above, he also works with cover girls Tati Cotliar (March), Sara Blomqvist (August), and Carolyn Murphy (September). And that leaves the December issue, featuring top catwalker Eniko Mihalik who posed in front of Gianluca Fontana lens.

Numéro China gave variety this year. Some works (Natice American headpiece on Sara and Xiao Wen Ju‘s June/July issue), but some didn’t (we are looking at you Eniko!). Hopefully next year line up will be more exciting.
