Featured Article: Keri Russell for Town & Country December 2019

Keri Russell is the cover star of Town & Country’s latest issue (on newsstands November 27th).

Russell is gearing up for her role as Zori Bliss in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker film in theaters December 20th.

Russell opens up to Town & Country about what she liked about wearing a mask for her Star Wars role, how she balances work and family life with her husband, actor Matthew Rhys, and her three children, along with if she believes she has an expiration date in Hollywood, and more.

On being in a mask for her Star Wars character, Zorri Bliss: “…It was very attractive, the idea of not being the lead. The mask – I felt safe in it. And tough.”

On balancing work and family life: “I see a lot of other people who have great ambition, but I feel as if my life is so full, with little kids. I’m not hungry for a certain type kind of success.”

On being shy in front of the camera: “Being photographed is a skill, and I’m not good at it. I’m a shy person, so it’s embarrassing. And I’m 43 now, so I’m able to say it’s embarrassing to me. It’s weird. I always look bad!”

On if she feels she has an expiration date in Hollywood: “I do think about it. And I feel that [the time dwindling for roles] should sort of be now. But at the same time, I just got an incredible offer to do something. A really, really rich story. Maybe it doesn’t stop.”

On social media: “I know a little bit about Instagram. I like to look at pretty things.” Images courtesy of Town & Country. (source)

Featured Article: Daisy Ridley for Marie Claire US Holiday 2019

Daisy Ridley is the cover star of Marie Claire US’ Holiday issue, on newsstands November 21st.

Ridley is gearing up to reprise her role as Rey, the flinty heroine and suspected Jedi, in the third film of the Star Wars trilogy: The Rise of Skywalker, in theaters December 20th.

Here for Marie Claire, Ridley shares how she prepared for her final Star Wars film, her rumored engagement to actor Tom Bateman, what her dream performance would be, and how she stays present in the moment.

On giving it her all in the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker: “It’s the first time I’ve filmed more confident because I feel like there was nothing else I could’ve done.”

On her favorite Star Wars film: “The third one for me was the best. It’s a big film for everyone. I did all of the emotions: I did frowns, I did smiles, it was the sort of biggest breadth, and I think that’s also why I had such a good time, because I got to do so much shit—like, physically, emotionally—and I got to work with so many people.”

On her rumored engagement to actor Tom Bateman: “The thing is, I’ve never talked about my personal life. So I won’t talk about it now. I’m so aware of how much information about my life is out there, so if there’s one thing I don’t want to talk about…”

On her dream to perform in a musical one day: “Every meeting I’ve gone to, every studio I’ve been to, every director I’ve met, every producer. Bless J.J., when people come to visit set, he’ll be like, ‘Daisy can sing!’ It’s like, ‘Thanks, dude. Appreciate that.’” Image courtesy of Marie Claire. (source)
