Fashion and beauty photographer Koray Birand—who lives in Istanbul but splits his time between London, Paris and Munich—is branching out to yet another fashion publication this year. Having been a regular for Harper’s Bazaar Turkey since 2010, it looks like that he is now a favourite for Vogue Mexico and Latin America too, with 3 slots this year! He photographed the March, April, and October issues respectively with cover girls Isabeli Fontana, Hana Jirickova, and Princess Salwa Aga Khan aka Kendra Spears.
David Roemer, Nagi Sakai, and Marcin Tyszka also worked more than once for the monthly fashion publication. New Mexico born David Roemer shot the January and November issue with Jacquelyn Jablonski and Behati Prinsloo (both models participated in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show). Tokyo born Cairo raised photographer Nagi Sakai snapped the magazine’s February and June covers with Toni Garrn and Mirte Maas, while Warsaw native Marcin Tyszka also shared the same amount of cover stint as the previously mentioned David Roemer and Nagi Sakai. He shot fellow Polish Anja Rubik and Zuzanna Bijoch on the magazine’s May and July covers.
That leaves us with Mariano Vivanco (Peruvian) who shot Candice Swanepoel for September issue, Alique (Dutch) who snapped fellow Dutch Anna de Rijk for August edition, Ruven Afanador (Colombian) who shot First Lady of Colombia for the magazine’s special cover for the Spanish speaking country, and rising duo Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello (both Argentinian) who photographed actress Scarlett Johansson for December issue.
