Harper’s Bazaar US 2010 Covers Recap

Looks like Harper’s Bazaar US tried different types of covers this year.

Blue background : Kate Hudson‘s January by Peter Lindbergh, Miley Cyrus‘s February by Peter Lindbergh and Demi Moore‘s April by Mark Seliger.

Terry Richardson-esque : The famed photographer photographed Cameron Diaz for August and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks for November.

Close up : Kate Moss by Peter Lindbergh for March.

Vogue-ish : Katherine Heigl for June/July by Alexi Lubomirski

White background : Gwyneth Paltrow‘s May by Alexi Lubomirski and Jennifer Aniston‘s September by Mark Seliger.

Festive background : Drew Barrymore gold background for October by Mark Seliger and Katy Perry silver background by Alexi Lubomirski for December (click here for Katy‘s special limited edition subscriber cover).

Alexi Lubomirski, Mark Seliger and Peter Lindbergh each shot 3 covers this year. While Terry Richardson shot 2 covers.

From their 11 covers, 8 of them featured big “FASHION” stamped on the headlines. Of course we already knew that Harper’s Bazaar is a fashion magazine :))

None of the newsstands cover is my favourite, because the covers are not selling and not attractive to me. Maybe it’s their signature cover, but i think they need to make the cover much more attractive if they want to sell more issues… I gotta admit, i loved their fashion spreads even better than their covers. And my favourite goes to the black and white subscriber cover of November featuring Georgia May Jagger by Hedi Slimane.

Tatler UK 2010 Covers Recap

It has been a colorful year for Tatler UK and i kinda loved it!

They chose actress Joely Richardson for January cover in a lawn with hazy background, actress Sharon Stone looking almost too photoshopped on the cover of February. Yasmin Le Bon daughter who happens to be a model, Amber Le Bon posed in flowery printed dress for blue font March cover.

Actress domination continues on the April cover where French actress Clemence Poesy photographed by Thomas Nutzi. One of the worlds famous supermodel, Heidi Klum is graced the May cover of Tatler UK wearing a gorgeous purple dress. Combined with the pink font, and sunset background equals great cover! Jessica Alba in white dress, green backdrop and high ponytail is featured on the cover for June 2010.

The beautiful Liv Tyler sitting pretty on the beautiful July cover of Tatler UK with that sweetheart neckline dress. I love her even more..

Elle Macpherson sitting on the wood panel floor for the August cover lensed by Ruven Afanador. They use the fresh orange font and it looks very good and warm. Prada Fall Winter 2010 dress made its appearance in Tatler UK cover, wore by Mad Men‘s January Jones as she was photographed by Robert Erdmann. A horse made a cameo in that September cover.

The City‘s Olivia Palermo, with the famous Miu Miu Fall Winter 2010 dress looking very mod with the hair and the eyeliner for October, while Desperate Housewives Eva Longoria Parker shows her sexy leg for the November cover.

Newlywed Charlotte Wittstock who just married Prince Albert of Monaco steal the spotlight on the gold, white and black December cover.

I always love magazine covers that played with colors. Which cover is your favorite guys?

Amby from Art8amby.

Thanks to TFS for the image.
