Featured Article: Penélope Cruz & Édgar Ramirez for Town & Country March 2018

Penélope Cruz and Édgar Ramirez stars on Town & Country’s March 2018 cover, on newsstands nationwide February 06th.

Cruz (in Michael Kors) and Ramirez (in Dior Homme) are pictured together by photographer Tom Munro for their first cover (not in costume) who currently portray siblings Donatella Versace and Gianni Versace on the FX Series: The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, the cover is styled by Nicoletta Santoro and Alex Weiderin both of whom were a part of iconic Versace fashion campaigns in the early 90s and 2000s.

Cruz on Donatella Versace: “To me she [Donatella Versace] is like a heroine. She has demonstrated in so many ways in her life how to be an incredible woman.”

Ramírez on his admiration for Gianni Versace: “He [Gianni Versace] was a visionary and a disrupter, and we’re experiencing an era that he helped create aesthetically. There were no designers expressing that rock ‘n’ roll approach to couture before Gianni – this mix of sexuality and celebrity. The current obsession with fame started with Gianni.” (source)

Versace Spring Summer 2014 Ad Campaign

When we first heard the rumour of Lady Gaga shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for Versace’s latest campaign, we are pretty sure that it’ll be the accessories line. The first image surfaced yesterday shown the American singer promoting the handbag. But then, the next image shows that the 27 year old also fronting the brand’s mainline campaign, channeling Donatella Versace (styled by Joe McKenna). What do you think about the ad? (source)

Versace Fall Winter 2013 Ad Campaign

Kate Moss’ idea of punk is to bare all. In Versace’s fall advertising campaign, promoting its so-called “Vunk” collection, which referenced the house’s punk signatures, Moss appears nude except for three strategically placed Vanitas quilted leather handbags.

The campaign is “stripped back to the raw power of the clothes and models. There’s no set, no distraction, just the provocation, glamour and attitude of our fashion,” said Donatella Versace. Saskia de Brauw, slightly more covered up, was also shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London in early March for the women’s collection, while Travis Smith, Dominik Bauer and Matt Trethe, who is new to Versace, are the faces of the men’s collection.

The photographers, Moss and creative director Giovanni Bianco are all returning from the spring campaign.
