Featured Article: Flare 2013 Covers Recap

What happened to Flare!? Eversince they had this major makeover earlier this year, their covers are being less attractive. As you can see in the image above, they even got several different type of fonts which gave us the impression that they still haven’t found the perfect one.

Our favourite this year are Lea Michele‘s January issue by Max Abadian, Olivia Munn‘s July issue by Autumn De Wilde (eventhough the masthead looks like British GQ, but the striking image makes up for it), and Flare‘s fave model Arlenis Sosa on their August issue shot by Jason Kim.

The rest of the covers this year that doesn’t impressed us were featuring singer Paulina Gretzky (who?), model and Maybelline spokesperson Charlotte Free, host and writer Alexa Chung, and actresses such as Diane Kruger, Christina Hendricks, Greta Gerwig, Amber Heard, Kerry Washington, and Kristen Bell.

Flare used to be one of those fashion magazines who delivers great covers line up, especially in the past three years. They better figure out how to make striking covers again, very soon!
