Featured Article: Rosamund Pike for Town & Country December 2018/January 2019

Rosamund Pike is the cover star of Town & Country’s December 2018/January 2019 issue – on newsstands now.

The self-described Hollywood chameleon tackles the life story of war correspondent Marie Colvin and exclusively for T&C (photographed for the cover by Liz Collins and styled by Nicoletta Santoro in Dior and Cartier), Colvin‘s fellow war correspondent Janine di Giovanni talks to Pike about A Private War (in theaters now).

Inside her T&C cover story, Pike, a former Bond girl who broke out in the U.S. in 2015 with an Oscar-nominated performance in Gone Girl, opens up about why she wanted to play Marie Colvin, her hope for audiences seeing the film, family life in London, and the surprise her second son’s early birth gave her.

On what she wanted to achieve by playing Marie Colvin: “I wanted to capture her spirit of rebellion. But I also had to dive into Curie’s bitterness.”

On her hope for audiences after seeing A Private War: “I want people to care about journalism again.”

On the surprise of her second son’s early birth: “There was no time for pain medication, no time to get to the clinic, so I just let my body take over. I thought, If I can let my mind go somewhere else, my body will do the job.”

On life with her family in London: “People might recognize me, but I think they just see me as a mother trying to handle small kids on the subway.” Image courtesy of Town & Country. (source)

Featured Article: Camila Cabello for Marie Claire US Holiday 2018

Photographed by Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello, Camila Cabello opens up to Marie Claire US about the two sides of personality, trusting her instincts, and for the first time – her relationship with British relationship coach, Matthew Hussey.

The Holiday 2018 cover is styled by Joseph Errico. Hair and makeup by Peter Savic and Allan Avendano, manicurist Tara Finley.

On the two sides of her personality: “Basically, there’s the me that I really am, on the inside, which is the nerdy one—the kind of introverted, shy one—and then there’s the sexy, overly confident one, doing great dance moves and being super sassy.”

On being vulnerable: “I’ve challenged myself to be vulnerable and to not have a script of what you’re going to say.”

On what the success of her debut single, Havana, taught her: You just have to trust yourself. I’m never going to be like, ‘This is a huge song.’ But I really liked it, and that’s what matters.”

On boyfriend, Matthew Hussey: “He’s so similar to me. In person, we’re just weird and silly and stupid together. He makes me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

On rumors she’s will star as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming West Side Story: “I don’t think so… I know exactly who I am, and I know what I want to do. I’m just not ready to give up that voice for something else right now.” Image courtesy of Marie Claire. (source)

Featured Article: Margot Robbie for Harper’s Bazaar US December 2018/January 2019

With her Oscar-worthy portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I in Mary Queen of Scots and a host of other film and TV projects in the works, 28-year-old actress Margot Robbie is on top of the world—quite literally, in the latest issue of Harper’s BAZAAR, the cover images are photographed by Camilla Akrans, styled by Charles Varenne with hair and makeup by Bryce Scarlett and Pati Dubroff, manicurist Ashlie Johnson.

On her metamorphosis into Queen Elizabeth I while filming Mary Queen of Scots: “Normally there’s someone who steps in and says, ‘No, keep all the girls looking pretty!’ But Josie Rourke, the director, was keen to explore how Queen Elizabeth’s looks affected her relationships, and everyone had the guts to do it.”

On the inspiration to form her own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, in 2014: “When we set out to create our company, it was sort of a new idea, but then in response to the #MeToo conversation it was all that anyone was talking about. People were like, ‘Why don’t we make movies for women?’ Uh, what a revelation, right?”

On refusing to be typecast by her beauty early on: “When I was trying to make my name as an actress, creative roles for women were limited. I didn’t want to pick up another script where I was the wife or the girlfriend—just a catalyst for the male story line. It was uninspiring.” (source)

Featured Article: Vanessa Hudgens for Women’s Health US December 2018

Vanessa Hudgens covers the December 2018 issue of Women’s Health US – getting real about body image, how she’s changed her diet and exercise routine, and when she thinks she’ll settle down.

On her body philosophy and experimenting with intermittent fasting:
“If I ever get to the point that I’m not happy with my body, I’ll do something about it. You will always have the power to do something. Sometimes it will take a little longer than you would like, and sometimes it may be a little more extreme. But if you honestly have a goal, you can do it. You just need to figure out the right way to get there.”

On finding confidence in her petite build:
“I see how women who are 5’9 walk into a room, and I am so attracted to the space they take up. But then I started to realize that you can take up space without height—with your achievements, points of view, and opinions. Now that I’ve realized I can work through it, I’m like, ‘How do I make myself feel more confident?’”

On her 7-year relationship with Austin Butler:
“We both respect, trust and admire each other. It’s so solid now because I feel strong as an independent woman. I am very self-reliant, but it’s nice to have a best friend you can share victories with as well as losses.”

On her newly pescatarian diet, inspired by Paul McCartney:
“I used to be the girl who ate bacon for breakfast every single morning.” Now… “I love finding things that are good for you and also taste amazing. I try to get enough healthy fats, protein, and foods that give me energy.” (source)
