Canadian Ukrainian top catwalker Daria Werbowy landed the honor to be the first cover star of Vogue Ukraine‘s premiere issue that was published earlier this year. The 30 year old was photographed in Prada Spring Summer 2013 by Steven Pan on the cover. Another Ukrainians who graced their covers this year were singer-composer Eugene Hütz (he shared the cover slot with Estonian model Katlin Aas); Berdyansk born actress and former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko; and Kiev born catwalker Irina Kravchenko.
Zuzanna Bijoch landed the second cover slot of the year, the Polish catwalker was photographed by Jeff Bark for the cover. Fellow catwalkers who graced the covers of Vogue Ukraine this year were former Victoria’s Secret Angel from Czech Republic, Karolina Kurkova (shot by Hans Feurer); Canadian born Meghan Collison (by Olivier Zahm); American runway veteran Guinevere Van Seenus (by Cuneyt Akeroglu); Kincardine born doll faced stunner Jessica Stam—our fave cover of the year! (by Chad Pitman); and French regal Marie Piovesan (by Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello).
Even though Vogue Ukraine is still trying to find their identity for their covers, but we are quite happy with the results. And hopefully they’ll be better in 2014.
