There are some hit and miss in this year’s Bazaar UK covers line up. For example, Anne Hathaway‘s February and Scarlett Johansson‘s October issue. They could’ve done so much better with such great actresses.
It seems like elegant minimalism is the theme for their newsstand covers in 2013. Soft color tones, safe model-ish poses, and well known cover stars are their signatures this year.
Some standout newsstand covers from this monthly fashion publication edited by Justine Picardie were featuring Karen Elson‘s strong pose by Alexi Lubomirski, Carey Mulligan‘s serene face by Tom Allen, Stella Tennant‘s dreamy cover by Cathleen Naundorf, Jennifer Lawrence‘s striking feature by Ben Hassett, and Cate Blanchett‘s elegant yet poised image shot also by Ben Hassett.
Harper’s Bazaar UK presented at least 21 version of subscriber covers this year. From those minimalist images of famous faces (Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, Natalia Vodianova, Kate Winslet, Lara Stone, Karl Lagerfeld + Choupette, and Dree Hemmingway), to the amazing images with vintage feeling from Cathleen Naundorf, to the artsy illustration by the talented Gary Hume.
