Featured Article: Marie Claire UK 2012 Covers Recap

Marie Claire UK got amazing set of cover stars but they failed to brings wonders on the newsstands covers. We are disappointed with their works on Liv Tyler, Christina Ricci, Cheryl Cole, Marion Cotillard, Rachel Weisz, and Taylor Swift. Not that they’re not looking pretty, but the posed and images selection are boring. They should’ve picked something better from the editorials. The ladies looks way better and attractive on the subscriber covers. Marie Claire UK could’ve come up with better results and far more interesting images with those great celebrities.

Our favourite cover this year is the one with Blake Lively on it. Even though it’s a reprint, but the color works. The other reprints this year are Angelina Jolie‘s June issue and Eva Mendes‘ July issue. Both were taken from the US edition. The remaining covers featuring singer Kelly Rowland, athlete Jessica Ennis and former Pussycat Dolls member and the currect X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger are ok looking. We just wished they used brighter background colors.

Overall, the subscriber covers are better than the newsstands this year. The magazine has tapped singer turned fashion designer Gwen Stefani as the January 2013 cover star. Unfortunately, the image is a reprint from 2011 Elle US.
