Chinese model Fei Fei Sun is making history because she is the only Asian model who landed an only-girl cover for Vogue Italia!! Even though we didn’t like the make up, but Fei Fei Sun werq it on the minimalist cover that was photographed by the magazine’s regular, Steven Meisel with the styling by Lori Goldstein.
Inside the issue you’ll see her in various other vintage/mod make up and hair do by Pat McGrath and Guido Palau.

German top catwalker Toni Garrn is rising back to the occasion this year. She landed quite a number of editorials, campaigns and covers in 2012. The 20 year old already booked the Spring Summer 2013 campaign stint for Max Mara Studio and Hugo Boss Black. She also landed two covers slots for her homeland Vogue, for August and December issue, both photographed by Alexi Lubomirski.
The Wimbledon born photographer also snapped three other images as the front page, featuring models Lais Ribeiro (March), Carolyn Murphy (June) and actress Salma Hayek (September). Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer are the only ones who shot more than one covers for the magazine this year, besides Lubomirski. The Switzerland duo shot the May and July issue featuring models Guinevere Van Seenus and Kendra Spears. The rest of the covers were photographed by top names: Greg Kadel (January), Brigitte Lacombe (February), Peter Lindbergh (April), Camilla Akrans (October), and Daniel Jackson (November).
We loved the strong black and white image by Greg Kadel. The orange masthead really brighten it up. We also love Michelle Williams‘ cover in which she channelled Marilyn Monroe. Editors shake up also hit Marie Claire US! Anne Fulenwider, formerly at Brides since October 2011, named as the new Editor in Chief of the magazine earlier this September, and replacing Joanna Coles who moved to Cosmopolitan (she helmed MC for the last six years). Fulenwider is back to Marie Claire because she had served as an executive editor under Coles for two years starting in September 2009. There are not much changed on the cover ever since Fulenwider helmed it. Next year, perhaps?
Anyway, Marie Claire US tapped top celebrities as this year’s cover stars. Starting with Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie who fronted the January issue, by Alexei Hay. They also listed singer and The Voice mentor, Christina Aguilera as the magazine’s February cover star. She was photographed by Tesh, who also shot seven (!) other front pages this year. The British photographer snapped the April, May, June, August, September, November and December issue featuring Leighton Meester, Zooey Deschanel, Jessica Alba, Kristen Wiig, Miley Cyrus (our favourite), Ashley Greene, and Jessica Chastain respectively. The rest of the celebrities who graced the magazine this year are Eva Mendes (March) and Blake Lively (July), both by Txema Yeste and Gwen Stefani (October), by Peggy Sirota.
