Vogue UK gave eight cover slots this year to eight first timers! Florence Welch opened the year as she’s gracing the January issue with her signature red hair, photographed by Mario Testino. The Peruvian photographer also snapped the candy-colored March issue with Lana Del Rey and Kristen Stewart‘s October cover.
American catwalker Arizona Muse is one of the models who landed their first time cover for Vogue UK, along with fellow American Karlie Kloss. They’re gracing the February and September issue photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and Nick Knight respectively. The last three first-timer cover girls this year are Academy Award-winning actress Charlie Theron (photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for May issue), the lovely Emma Stone (photographed also by Demarchelier for August), and the striking Jennifer Lawrence (photographed by Alasdair McLellan for November).
The returning cover stars this year are Sienna Miller by Ryan McGinley (she has featured eight times on the cover); Kate Moss by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott (31 times!); Rachel Weisz by Alasdair McLellan (3 times); and Natalia Vodianova by Mario Testino (10 times).
Our favourite cover images this year goes to the ones with Charlize Theron and Kate Moss on the covers. They’re stunning and classic! You can also read our recap for 2011, here, and 2010, here.

It is more exciting to waiting every month and see what GQ UK brings on their covers than the US version. Because GQ UK works with different photographers and setting and concept almost every single months. Unlike their US brother that always with the boring white backdrop and suited-up cover stars.
Some of the highlights from this year that caught our attention are Sam Taylor Wood‘s sephia-colored January cover featuring Daniel Craig, who also featured on one out of six front pages of the magazine’s November issue that celebrating 50th anniversary of the iconic James Bond (the other cover stars are previous Bond casts–George Lazenby, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, Sean Connery, and Timothy Dalton).
We love Olivia Wilde‘s cute and sexy April cover by Gavin Bond, but of course the other cover version featuring comedians Ricky Gervais, Michael McIntyre, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Chris Rock, is definitely not on our “best cover” list. Our final favourite front pages from GQ UK this year are featuring three gorgeous, lovely yet sexy ladies: Homeland‘s Claire Danes for September issue by Simon Emmett; singer Lana Del Rey (naked!) for October issue by Mariano Vivanco; and last but not least, Twilight star Ashley Greene for December issue by Benny Horne. They did great jobs with the stunning images!
The rest of the cover stars for this year’s line up including rising actor Michael Fassbender; Academy-Award nominated actress Keira Knightley; Victoria Secret’s Angel from South Africa, Candice Swanepoel; singer Cheryl Cole; the new Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield; the new Bond girl from French, Bérénice Marlohe; stage, tv and film actor James Corden; Mad Men‘s John Slattery, singer Robbie Williams; and rapper Tinie Tempah.

If we had to choose which our favourite covers from this year’s 18 selection from Glamour UK, we have to say that we like Kelly Brook‘s second cover version (in which she’s “hugging” herself), Kylie Minogue‘s teal-colored cover, and Emma Watson‘s sitting-pretty cover.
The other cover images are not that bad but, as usual, Glamour UK always ruining the images with text overload. If only they reduced the text on the front pages, the other covers featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Brown Findlay, Dannii Minogue and Kate Beckinsale would’ve been our favourite as well.
The other cover stars from this year’s line up including the current judge of X Factor, Tulisa Contostavlos; the multi-talented woman Jennifer Lopez; The Saturdays‘ band member Frankie Sandford; actor Eva Longoria; TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton, Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks, and singer Cheryl Cole (this is her third consecutive covers since 2010).

We were totally excited when first read the news that raven haired Jessica Chastain gonna covering the latest issue of Marie Claire US, but after seeing the result (Tesh snapped it), we are disappointed. They should’ve made the December cover better.. way better than this.
