Ikat Indonesia brings up the theme “Simfoni Indonesia” (Indonesia’s Symphony) for its Spring Summer 2012 collection inspired by the zest of Indonesian women that was presented on Wednesday, December 21st 2011 at Otel Lobby, Wisma Bakrie, Jakarta.
The charm and diversity of our motherland’s multicultural arts and traditions are being reflected in the manifold of tenun ikat patterns. Inspired to combine the dynamics of Indonesia’s urban life and its traditional trace, Ikat Indonesia fronts its ready-to-wear and evening wear collection by blending the traditional ikat fabric and other fabrics such as silk, chiffon, and polyester to emerge a new symphony in magnifying the miscellany of Indonesian fashion scene.
The independency of a Srikandi, as well as the grace of its wisdom and thoughts are being featured into a mesmerizing symphonic composition through bold lines and colorful collection.
Ikat Indonesia also launched their website www.theikatindonesia.com on the same day. Congratulations! We are proudly support anyone who actively preserve our national heritage.
