Vogue Russia 2011 Covers Recap

Vogue Russia started 2011 with their only non model cover star featuring athlete/politician, Alina Kabayeva photographed by Vladimir Glynin. Well, actually Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine, landed the November cover slot lensed by Alix Malka, but he was featured on the cover (naked!) along with his top model girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna.

The rest of this year Vogue Russia‘s covers line up are top models: Anja Rubik and her model husband, Sasha Knezevic for February issue by Alexi Lubomirski; Constance Jablonski for March also by the Wimbledon born Mr. Lubomirski; March 2010 cover girl, Abbey Lee Kershaw for April issue by designer slash fashion photographer Hedi Slimane; Maryna Linchuk for May by Patrick Demarchelier; Anna Selezneva for June issue snapped by Mariano Vivanco, it was his first Vogue Russia cover; Lara Stone for July by Mark Seliger.

21 year old Russian born Daria Strokous–who we saw recently in Steven Soderbergh‘s Contagion–for August by Mariano Vivanco; Natasha Poly for September by Hedi Slimane; Daria Werbowy for October by Terry Richardson; and my favourite cover, Arizona Muse for December issue photographed by Hedi Slimane, his third works this year for this Victoria Davidova edited magazine (she replaced former EIC Aliona Doletskaya last year).

Hopefully next year they will make all models line up on the covers. Feel free to share to us your favourite covers in the comment box below 😀
