35 year old Chinese actress Li Bing Bing graced the first 2011 cover of her hometown fashion publication, Vogue, photographed by Max Vadukul. Five editions later, fellow actress Fan Bing Bing (both are not related) graced the minimalist July cover lensed by Josh Olins.
Three more actresses graced the covers of Vogue China this year: Scarlett Johansson for April by Peter Lindbergh, Maggie Q for October by Daniel Jackson and Zhou Xun for December by Sølve Sundsbø.
The rest of the covers are belongs to models: Gisele Bundchen sitting pretty for February issue lensed by Patrick Demarchelier; Lara Stone posed for two gorgeous March covers (my fave!) by Inez & Vinoodh; a reprint of Frida Gustavsson for May issue by Arthur Elgort; Natalia Vodianova on her second Vogue China cover for June by Peter Lindbergh; rising model Ming Xi for August issue by Daniel Jackson; current Chinese famous models–Du Juan, Sui He, Fei Fei Sun, Liu Wen, Ming Xi and Shu Pei Qin— for September issue (also my fave!) once again by Inez & Vinoodh; and last but not least, Edita Vilkeviciute for November by Peter Lindbergh.
