Two Covers of VMan Issue 23 Fall 2011

Earlier this year, VMan and Ford Models are teamed up once again for their much awaited VMan Model Search 2011—their fifth cycle—and recently the winner was announced: 21 year old from Indiana, Clark Cord (in Mugler) and 21 year old from Ocean City New Jersey, Matthew Terry (in Jeremy Scott).

Matthew Terry already walked for Versace Spring Summer 2012 show (he was direct booking!) earlier this June while Clark Cord confirmed a major Fall Winter fashion campaign. We can’t wait for which brand and congratulations for both of you!

The winner deserves contract with, of course one of world’s finest modeling agency, Ford Models and a cover shot lensed by the famed photographer, Steven Klein with the styling works by the one and only, Nicola Formichetti.

Click here to view all six finalists polaroids at Ford Models blog. Those six finalists will have a 15 page spread inside the Archetypes Issue, lensed by Steven Klein, that will hit the newsstands on September 1st 2011.

Valentina by Valentino Fragrance 2011 Ad Campaign

Valentino will launched their new fragrance, Valentina by Valentino this mid September. The perfume created by Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp is inspired by Rome and Italian flavors.

The composition is designed as a fresh floral-fruity-oriental, full of contradictions, simultaneously delicate and strong, elegant, sensual, rebellious and fun. It starts off with bergamot from Calabria and white truffles from Alba. Amalfi orange blossoms, sweet jasmine, tuberose and wild strawberries compose the perfume’s heart, settling on the base of cedar, vanilla and amber.

Freja Beha Erichsen is the campaign face with David Sims as the photographer for the black and white image that looks very similar to the brand’s Fall Winter 2010 ad campaign.

In Time Teaser Posters

Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Muphy, Vincent Kartheiser, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Galecki, Olivia Wilde and Matthew Bomer are starring in Andrew Niccol‘s In Time that will be released on October 28th 2011. In Time presents a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there’s a catch: you’re genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich “earn” decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo’s love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system

The highlight of this movie is one of our favourite models, Sasha Pivovarova is making a cameo in the movie as Justin Timberlake‘s mother-in-law (yum!).

Another news in models-making-a-cameo-in-movies, current Jil Sander campaign face and runway regular, Daria Strokous will making an appearance in Steven Soderbergh‘s Contagion out on September 09th 2011 starring (cue drumroll, please!) Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Marion Cotillard. MAJOR!

Homme by David Beckham Fragrance 2011 Ad Campaign

David Beckham was photographed by Alasdair McLellan for his latest fragrance campaign, Homme by David Beckham. Image via Models.com

Quoted from Fragrantica:

David Beckham in collaboration with Coty presents a new fragrance that was created with an aim to reveal the essence of charismatic man with style, football star, trendsetter, husband and father. ”I wanted to create a modern, masculine fragrance that reflects my style” – says Beckham.

David Beckham Homme was announced as woody-spicy and its composition might be very interesting to fans of this group of fragrances. The fragrance arrives in a glass flacon with David’s name spreading over glass surface, which makes this edition characteristic and memorable. Elegant white cardboard box features grey letters suggesting strength and elegance of this edition. The front part features a circle marked with the new logo David Beckham Homme.

Top notes of this excellent composition offer citrusy zest skillfully mixed with ginger and Szechuan pepper. A heart introduces cashmere, leather and rosemary, while a base leaves a trail of mahogany, patchouli and musk. The perfume was created by Pierre Negrin of Firmenich.

David Beckham Homme hits the shelves in September 2011, as 30 and 50 ml EDT, along with accompanying body care products.
