Prada Pre Fall 2013 Ad Campaign

UPDATED APRIL 05th 2013: Added three new images with Vanessa Axente and Amanda Murphy.

Steven Meisel photographed the minimalist and clean Pre Fall campaign images from Prada featuring Hungarian rising star Vanessa Axente (looks like Miuccia has found her new muse in Ms.Axente because she just landed her third consecutive Prada campaign under her belt!), and newcomer from Netherlands who looks like an ice queen, Irene Hiemstra (her second consecutive campaign for the brand). The campaign was styled by Olivier Rizzo.

Vanessa Axente for Vogue Italia March 2013

UPDATED MARCH 01st 2013: The male model is Gustav Swedberg. The cover was styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé, with hair and make up done by Guido Palau and Pat McGrath respectively.

Vogue Italia and Franca Sozzani must’ve really love the Hungarian model, because they gave the former Prada Fall Winter 2012 fashion show opener her third cover slot in less than a year (she was on the July and December 2012 issue)!

She’s wearing Dolce & Gabbana on the cover snapped by Steven Meisel.

Featured Article: Vogue Italia 2012 Covers Recap

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. That’s how we put the collaboration between photographer Steven Meisel and Vogue Italia that has been going strong for more than 20 years and still counting.

Sometimes they created magic on the covers (i.e the April issue with models Aaron Vernon, Chrystal Copland, Ethan James, Lyle Lodwick, Thairine Garcia and Sojourner Morell; September issue with Carolyn Murphy, and December with Vanessa Axente and Marlon Teixeira), sometimes they created something that’s so dull even though they tapped a great cover star (we are looking at you Mrs. Isabella Rossellini). And they certainly really knows how to liven up the hype, as the current IT model Kate Upton landed one of the most coveted cover slots in the world of fashion publication.

Vogue Italia combined top famous names in modeling industry with the rising newbies as their 2012 cover girls. They mixed runway regulars and veterans Caroline Trentini, Daria Strokous, Joan Smalls, Linda Evangelista, Jamie Bochert, Meghan Collison with promising new crop of girls such as Laura Kampman, Mackenzie Drazan, and Vanessa Axente (she got the honor to be featured twice last year!).

Vogue Italia always came up with something different from the other Vogue editions, and we respect that. Especially the minimalist text on the cover. Franca Sozzani already made history this year as she chose Fei Fei Sun as the magazine’s first ever Asian cover girl! We are looking forward to see what Franca will bring in 2013.

Rankin photographed the 28 year old actress (in white perforated Victoria Beckham Spring Summer 2013 dress, worn by Vanessa Axente on the runway last September) for the February 2013 cover of Elle UK.

Prada Spring Summer 2013 Ad Campaign

Miuccia Prada casts the best line up of models for her Spring Summer 2013 advertisement campaign! Top names and powerhouse models Sasha Pivovarova (she is quintessentially Prada!) , Amber Valetta, Eva Herzigova, Kirsten Owen, Saskia de Brauw and Raquel Zimmermann are joining interesting new faces such as Irina Kravchenko, Irene Hiemstra, Maartje Verhoef, Vanessa Axente (her second consecutive season with the brand!) and Sung Hee Kim for the minimalist, sleek and clean images that was photographed by the brand’s regular photographer, Steven Meisel.

The campaign was styled by Olivier Rizzo, with Pat McGrath and Guido Palau responsible for the hair and make up respectively.

Prada Fall Winter 2012 Ad Campaign

27 year old Polish born runway star, Magdalena Frackowiak, is featured for her very first Prada campaign and we are very excited because she was photographed for the campaign by Steven Meisel together with fellow Prada catwalker first timer, Russian model and a Victoria’s Secret Angel, 26 year old Anne Vyalitsyna!!

The campaign also featured the current face of Versace, Elza Luijendijk (it is her second blue chip campaign this season. Congratulations!) along with runway veteran, Iselin Steiro; the show opener, Vanessa Axente; and new face Madison Hope Headrick.
