Two Covers of Vogue Italia April 2012
As usual, the covers are photographed by Vogue Italia‘s go-to photographer Steven Meisel and this time he snapped 14 year old Brazilian rising model Thairine Garcia along with fellow newcomers Chrystal Copland, Sojourner Morell and Lanvin‘s current campaign boy Aaron Vernon along with the established boys Lyle Lodwick and Ethan James.
Panos Yiapanis was responsible for the styling works.

#OVERTHETOP is the theme for the latest issue of Vogue Italia, and Steven Meisel snapped the perfect cover for it featuring the first colored model in a long time to be featured on the front pages, that lucky girl is Puerto Rican top model Joan Smalls (her first Vogue cover!), who was styled by Lori Goldstein with heavy eyelids make up and nail ornaments.

Roberto Cavalli Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
UPDATED JANUARY 15th 2012: Added two new campaign images featuring Jon Kortajarena photographed by Steven Meisel via Sight Management.
The casts of Roberto Cavalli Spring Summer 2012 are perfect: original supermodels Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy and the returning flame haired Karen Elson are photographed by Steven Meisel in Pier 59 studio in New York wearing the great collection along with the new crop of IT model, pillow-lipped Dutch girl Daphne Groeneveld.
But why Mr.Meisel, why with the plain grey background!? It looks like those old campaigns of Versace. We are hoping to see something more fiercer than last season’s Witch Trio campaign that in our opinion was one of the best campaigns for Fall Winter 2011. Could Eva Cavalli responsible for this as she’s the creative director…
The hair and make up was done by Guido Palau and Pat McGrath respectively.

Caroline Trentini, Daria Strokous & Paula Patrice for Vogue Italia January 2012
UPDATED JANUARY 03rd 2012: The mystery lady in Red has been solved! It was Paula Patrice of Ford Models NYC.
Steven Meisel and Vogue Italia always delivered great January covers for the past two years. Remember Karlie Kloss stumbled on the runway for January 2010? Or Arizona Muse and Freja Beha Erichsen in some kind of Haute Couture fitting for January 2011?
This time they gave us another unique cover featuring Caroline Trentini, an unidentified model that looks like Christy Turlington in a red dress and the current Louis Vuitton campaign girl, Daria Strokous, for a telesales programs/home shopping-like cover and we just can’t wait to see the editorial!
The cover was styled by Karl Templer while the hair and make up was done by Jimmy Paul and Pat McGrath respectively.

Vogue Italia 2011 Covers Recap
24 year old Danish top model, Freja Beha Erichsen, landed her third Vogue Italia covers in less than a year! Right after her front page slot in March and November 2010, she was featured for the first 2011 cover of Vogue Italia along with her now rumored girlfriend, Arizona Muse, photographed by regular photographer for more than 20 years, Steven Meisel.
Freja Beha Erichsen was not the only returning cover girl for this year’s models line up, because catwalk veteran Kristen McMenamy (August 2010) and the possible new Angel of Victoria’s Secret’s, Karlie Kloss (January 2010), are both returning for another snapped once again by Steven Meisel for the 2011′s May and December issues respectively.
South African born Victoria’s Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel, was a bombshell on the February issue while the similar hairstyle was sported by Raquel Zimmermann on the dull August cover, my least favourite. But, thankfully, Steven Meisel make it up Raquel Zimmermann‘s boring cover with the exceptionally amazing November issue. One of this year’s best cover! Saskia de Brauw‘s March issue and the sultry black and white June cover featuring three plus size models who looked gorgeous and fabulous: Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley, are amongst this year’s best covers too.
Red haired model/musician, Karen Elson returning to the front page of Vogue Italia for the first time since December 2006 with the same grace and elegance for October. The former face of Missoni, Kristina Salinovic landed her first Vogue Italia cover for April as well as one of the current faces of Balenciaga, Juliane Grüner, for July issue. Last but not least, top model Stella Tennant shocked the fashion industry with her 13 inch waist (that’s not her real waist, right?) and appeared on the September cover of the magazine photographed by Steven Meisel.
