Louis Vuitton Alma Bag 2013 Ad Campaign

Steven Klein photographed the 2013 campaign images of Louis Vuitton Alma Bag featuring top modeling names Karlie Kloss, Iris Strubegger, Daria Strokous and Monika Jagaciak with hair by Julien d’Ys, makeup by Peter Philips and styling by Ludivine Poiblanc.

The four women wear looks from Vuitton’s pre-fall collection and carry bags in colors that are emblematic of the cities depicted: taxicab yellow for New York, French blue for Paris and lacquer red for China. A final nighttime image in Paris features a rainbow selection of Alma bags in Epi leather.

The dome-shaped bag was first created in 1934 (originally dubbed the Squire) and was rechristened Champs-Élysées before settling on its current name. Vuitton considers it an enduring symbol of elegance “à la française.”

Calvin Klein Underwear Spring Summer 2013 Ad Campaign

UPDATED APRIL 27th 2013: Added new images featuring Arran Sly and Julija Steponaviciute by Daniel Jackson.

Below are the quote via WWD:

Calvin Klein Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PVH Corp., will run the first Super Bowl commercial in its history. The 30-second ad is slated to run at the end of the first quarter and will introduce Calvin Klein Concept, the latest offering from Calvin Klein Underwear. The provocative commercial depicts model Matthew Terry in a modern “man versus machine” creative inspired by the 360-degree seamless technology construction of the new underwear line. In other words, Terry flexes his muscles and shows off his great physique.

Shot in New York City, the video campaign, which aired on WWD.com Wednesday night, was conceived and directed by consulting creative director Fabien Baron of Baron + Baron, working with Klein’s in-house global marketing and ad agency.

“This is a significant milestone, and, as an iconic American designer brand, [we] are extremely proud to be able to debut the latest Calvin Klein Underwear campaign during the Super Bowl — the most watched television event annually in the U.S.,” said Tom Murry, president and chief executive of CKI.

The print campaign was shot by Steven Klein.

On game day, all of Calvin Klein’s official social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and YouTube, will be transformed with the new creative to support the product launch. Digital content will also be shared via Vine, Twitter’s new video-sharing app. Once it airs, it will also be included in Twitter’s #adscrimmage and YouTube’s Ad Blitz contests for the year’s best Super Bowl commercials voted by fans.

Following Super Bowl XLVII, spots will air on CBS and ESPN. Additional TV spots are slated for Europe, Asia and Mexico in the spring. The ads will also run in GQ, Esquire and Men’s Health and outdoor venues in the U.S., Mexico, Italy and Australia. Overall, the campaign will reach 19 markets across North America, Europe and Asia.

Featured Article: W Magazine 2012 Covers Recap

W Magazine really blown us away with their amazing set of covers this year. From Mrs. Marcus Mumford, Carey Mulligan, who looks divine on the January cover by Michael Thompson; to Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron (she also graced her second cover this year on August, with her Prometheus co-star Michael Fassbender, by Mario Sorrenti) who looks glamour on the dual covers of February issue also by Mario Sorrenti; and one of the best covers this year featuring Ms. Kate Moss, as an angel and a sinner, photographed stunningly by Steven Klein for the March issue.

Jessica Biel promoting her wedding with a front page slot in the magazine for April, shot by Mikael Jansson. While fellow actors Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman was snapped by Emma Summerton for the May issue, promoting Hemingway & Gellhorn. Mega star Tom Cruise looked badass accompanied by top models Edita Vilkeviciute and Abbey Lee Kershaw, and photographed by Mario Sorrenti, for the magazine’s June issue. Just in time for him to let others know that Rock of Ages was released on the same month.

Another well known models who landed the coveted W Magazine slot this year are MTV House of Style hosts, Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss. Their photoshopped version were featured on the July issue, snapped by Steven Meisel. The rest of the cover stars are all bright, talented and gorgeous! September cover girl was Penelope Cruz, by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott; October with Jennifer Lawrence by Tim Walker (great cover star, bad cover image), November with Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, Rooney Mara, and Scarlett Johansson, all snapped by Steven Klein; and last but not least, December with Marion Cotillard by Tim Walker.

Chanel No.5 Fragrance 2012 Ad Campaign

UPDATED OCTOBER 17th 2012: Added the part 2 of the video campaign which is way much better than the first one, that’s also featuring Sigrid Agren!.

We should’ve known when we saw those dull Brad Pitt teasers last week, that the latest campaign image of Chanel No.5 won’t be as exciting as it used to be (remember that amazing mini movie by Baz Luhrman with Nicole Kidman and Rodrigo Santoro?).

The boring as hell black and white image was photographed by Steven Klein, while the equally boring campaign video (also in B&W), was directed by Atonement and Anna Karenina‘s director, Joe Wright.

The covers were photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Edward Enninful.
