Quoted via WWD:
Proenza Schouler’s spring campaign marks a couple of firsts for Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough. It’s the first time the duo collaborated with photographer David Sims. It’s also their first campaign to appear in national fashion magazines like the March issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and W.
The visuals – shot at London’s Spring Studios in October and featuring portraits of models Julia Nobis and Irina Nikolaeva juxtaposed with abstract images – have a collagelike touch. The images, which unveil a new brand logo, will also run in European biannuals like Love, Pop, Purple, Self Service and 032c.

There are three different covers with three different personalities for the latest issue of The Block Magazine.
The first one is the current Prada campaign model, Dutch girl Ymre Stiekema who was lensed by Catherine Servel and styled in Proenza Schouler dress, Opening Ceremony cardigan and Louis Vuitton shoes by Michelle Cameron.
The second one is American model turned actor Boyd Hollbrook photographed by Doug Inglish and last but not least, the one and only Shirley Manson (and her vibrant red hair) in Prabal Gurung dress photographed by Kenneth Capello.

This year Anna Wintour gave five cover slots to five first timers and I couldn’t be more happier.
Twilight star, Kristen Stewart landed the honour photographed by Mario Testino in Proenza Schouler for her first Vogue cover, the February issue. Lady Gaga was wearing Haider Ackermann for the March cover also by Mario Testino. Flame haired Rihanna was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for April cover in Chanel while Harry Potter alumni, Emma Watson, sporting slick hair, wine stained lips and wearing Prada infamous pailettes dress for the July issue by Mario Testino. The last first timer this year is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo‘s Rooney Mara, who was wearing Ralph Lauren dragon detailed dress (how suitable!) for November front page image photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, their very first cover job for the magazine.
The seven repeater cover stars are: Natalie Portman by Peter Lindbergh for January; Reese Witherspoon who’s wearing Roland Mouret dress (it’s very suprising because Roland Mouret was a non advertiser for the magazine) also by Peter Lindbergh for May; Penelope Cruz by Mario Testino for June; Sarah Jessica Parker by Mario Testino for August; Kate Moss also by Mario Testino for September; Michelle Williams by Annie Leibovitz for October; and Charlize Theron also by Annie Leibovitz for December issue.
I must say, I liked all the covers from Vogue US this year especially Rihanna, Penelope, Kate, Michelle and Charlize images and I’m really hoping that next year they will not use Sarah Jessica Parker nor Gwyneth Paltrow as their cover stars. Amen. Oh, and could we hope Emma Stone got her first cover next year, Mrs. Wintour?
Yesterday we posted the magazine’s first 2012 front page featuring their oldest cover star, Meryl Streep (62), who was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for her very first Vogue US cover and she really deserved it!
