Flare magazine’s Fashion Director Elizabeth Cabral styled most of the covers on this year’s line up for the Canadian monthly fashion publication. Well, that’s because three out of twelve front pages were a reprint.
Scarlett Johansson‘s May cover by Alexi Lubomirski was reprinted from the February 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar US. Michelle Williams‘ July cover was a reprint from her editorial inside the December 2011 issue of Elle UK. Last but not least, Flare‘s December cover featuring Keira Knightley who’s promoting Anna Karenina, was photographed by Terry Tsiolis and published earlier in the March 2011 issue of Elle UK.
As always, Cabral did a great job with the styling for the magazine’s covers this year. She styled Canadian models Jessica Stam in a purple lace Tom Ford dress for January issue (Stam‘s second cover in just four months!) and Coco Rocha in Ashley Rowe vest, Joe Fresh bright orange skirt and Louis Vuitton strappy shoes for February cover.
Revenge star Emily VanCamp wears Emilio Pucci yellow embroidered dress for the March cover by Chris Nicholls, who also photographed Coco‘s cover. Nicole Richie wears Roberto Cavalli‘s gold paillettes jacket and matching skirt for the April cover, while model turned actor Brooklyn Decker wears Peter Pilotto‘s gorgeous sleeveless peplum dress for June issue. Both covers were photographed by Max Abadian who also snapped the total of 7 front pages this year! He also responsible for the covers that’s featured Jessica Stam, Rose Byrne (in Marchesa), Lindsey Wixson (in Prabal Gurung), Milla Jovovich (in Calvin Klein Collection), and Claire Danes (in Fendi)
Flare is always been our favourite magazine because they keep producing beautiful covers. We love most of their covers (even though they used three reprints this year) especially Stam, Decker, Wixson and Jovovich version. Feel free to the links and check out their 2011 and 2010 covers line up.

The spring 2012 exhibition organized by The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art is Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.
The exhibition, on view from May 10th through August 19th 2012, explores the striking affinities between these two Italian designers from different eras.
Inspired by Miguel Covarrubias’s satirical “Impossible Interviews” for Vanity Fair in the 1930s, curators Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton orchestrate conversations between these iconic women to suggest new readings of the designers’ most innovative work.
The Gala Benefit was held on May 07th, with Honorary Chair Jeff Bezos and Co-Chairs Carey Mulligan, Miuccia Prada, and Anna Wintour; Baz Luhrmann serves as Exhibition Creative Consultant with Nathan Crowley as Production Designer.
Feel free to browse through our Facebook fanpage to view the complete red carpet arrivals.

Flare covers are getting better and better in my opinion. The colors, the styling, the outdoor settings and the fonts are just great. I also love their last year‘s line up.
They started this year with models trio in jeans top and black pants snapped by Max Abadian: Irina Lazareanu, Tiiu Kuik and Arlenis Sosa Pena. The beautiful February cover was photographed by Chris Nicholls featuring Nina Dobrev in a bed of roses à la the infamous scene in American Beauty.
Canadian top model Heather Marks graced the March cover in embellished dress from Emilio Pucci while fellow top model from the same country, Jessica Stam wearing lace dress from Vionnet for the September issue. Both covers are photographed by the Iranian born Montreal based photographer, Max Abadian.
You may not really remember which movies that Michelle Monaghan already starred in, but one thing for sure: she looked absolutely stunning in April cover image photographed by Tony Duran in bright Max Mara bodysuit. For May issue, the magazine featured the recently divorced Zooey Deschanel in Prada stripes lensed also by Tony Duran while for June cover, it’s time for Academy Award nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence in gem colored Gucci dress. If only Max Abadian shot it outdoor, it would’ve been better.
The similar case happens to Kirsten Dunst‘s November issue in which she’s wearing a bright colored peplum dress from Giambattista Valli and Freida Pinto‘s October front page also in Giambattista Valli. Both covers by Max Abadian are good, but it could’ve been better.
Max Abadian continues his cover domination this year with Ashley Greene‘s December issue (in beautiful red Marchesa dress) while Tony Duran and Chris Nicholls photographed Mila Kunis in Lanvin for August and Elisha Cuthbert in Hervé Léger by Max Azria for July respectively.
I’m really looking forward to see next year’s covers.
