We’d like to congratulate the 24 year old top catwalker (she’s the current face of Giorgio Armani fragrance, Patek Philippe, Tod’s, Pinko, Escada, Max Mara Studio, and Versace Underwear) on her surprising engagement to Prince Rahim Aga Khan!
The American model was dubbed as the next Cindy Crawford because of her strong resemblance to the supermodel, right after her participation in the 2008 Ford Supermodel of The World after winning a modeling contest via MySpace sponsored by Ford Models. Kendra Spears also holds a BA in sociology from the University of Washington in her native Seattle. She has a strong interest in arts and architecture, Amaana reports.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan holds a BA from Brown University and an executive management degree from the Navarra Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He is involved in the poverty reduction efforts, notably micro-credit activities, of the Aga Khan Development Network – one of the largest private systems of agencies fostering social, cultural and economic development in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The couple will be married in a Muslim ceremony but he date of the marriage has not been set yet. Another prove of dreams do come true for some people.

Giampaolo Sgura is really gaining lots of attention this year. Besides shooting editorials that published in various major fashion publication, the Italian photographer also shot his second Dolce & Gabbana campaign this year. He also photographed four covers for Vogue Japan this particular year: January issue with Maryna Linchuk; March issue with Dolce‘s campaign star, Bianca Balti; August issue with Anja Rubik; and December cover with Kendra Spears.
Dutch duo, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin snapped two covers for Vogue Japan this year, with two Darias: Werbowy for July and Strokous for October (that Comme des Garçons dress really grabbing the attention).
The rest of the front page slot this year were given to huge names in photography, such as Sølve Sundsbø for February issue with Saskia de Brauw (we love the soft color palette), Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for April issue with Kate Moss (one of the year’s worst cover, really), Terry Richardson for June issue with Candice Swanepoel, rising duo Daniele Duella and Iango Henzi for May with Natasha Poly, Mikael Jansson for September issue with Karlie Kloss (our favourite!), and Patrick Demarchelier for November issue with Aymeline Valade.

Vogue Japan is the first fashion publication to round up the 2012 covers!
American top catwalker Kendra Spears, landed the honor to closed the 2012 covers line up from the Japanese Vogue in a total look from Fendi Fall Winter 2012, photographed by Giampaolo Sgura. Even the hair style is very very similar from the fashion show that was held earlier this February.
