Quite similar with 2011 (click here for our recap), the 2012 covers line up of Vogue Mexico combined top names in modeling industry and the mixed of outdoor and indoor shoots. The one that got our attention last year was the inside cover of the magazine’s September issue featuring Carmen Kass, photographed by Koray Birand. It was very Harper’s Bazaar Turkey, since the photographer is a regular there.
Karolina Kurkova‘s black and white June cover by Nagi Sakai was also strikingly amazing. We love the simplicity and the gorgeous features of the former Victoria’s Secret Angel. While on the newsstand cover snapped by Mariano Vivanco, she channeled her inner diva. Nagi Sakai booked four other cover works for Vogue Mexico: April with Ginta Lapina, May with Crystal Renn, October with Hilary Rhoda, and November with Aline Weber. The Tokyo born-Cairo raised fashion photographer is on a roll, people!
Coco Rocha, fellow mentor with Karolina Kurkova in the upcoming modelling competition The Face, graced December issue with three different covers—all clad in gold dresses—photographed by Regan Cameron. And that leaves us with the remaining cover girls for 2012: Bianca Balti for January, Constance Jablonski for February, Angela Lindvall for March, Anne Vyalitsyna for July, and Kasia Struss for August.

From ten covers of Numéro Tokyo this year, seven of them are featured the cover girls posing in front of plain backdrop (we didn’t count Candice Swanepoel‘s shadowy background). They brighten it up with multicolored, ombré, and clashing masthead and fonts. Some of them worked, some doesn’t.
For the cover models, they featured 1 singer turned successful fashion designer (Victoria Beckham), 1 model/TV personality/host (Alexa Chung), 1 former Estée Lauder spokesperson (Hilary Rhoda), 1 rockstar daughter (Georgia May Jagger), 2 current Victoria’s Secret Angels (Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel), 2 models who walked Victoria’s Secret fashion shows (Lily Donaldson and Toni Garrn), and 2 household names in high fashion runways (Lindsey Wixson and Ginta Lapina).
Chilean born photographer Nino Muñoz snapped four covers this year (April, June, November and December), while Alexi Lubomirski (who was born in Wimbledon) and Horst Diekgerdes (born in Germany) photographed two covers each, January/February, September, March, and July/August respectively.
Fashion photographers Eric Guillemain and Angelo Pennetta shot one cover each in 2012 for the magazine. The former worked together with Lindsey Wixson for May cover, while the latter with Alexa Chung for October issue.
Our favourite cover from Numéro Tokyo this year goes to Victoria Beckham‘s March issue by Horst Diekgerdes. The colors are great and her side face shot is stunning.
