Fendi Spring Summer 2013 Ad Campaign
UPDATED JANUARY 15th 2013: Added new campaign images featuring Saskia de Brauw and Kati Nescher by Karl Lagerfeld.
Russian-German model Kati Nescher is replacing Joan Smalls as the latest campaign girl of Fendi. The top catwalker was photographed, as always, by Karl Lagerfeld.

Featured Article: Vogue Russia 2012 Covers Recap
Vogue Russia cover budget increased in 2012. They managed to tapped top photographers, two of them are fashion designers who also a photographer: Hedi Slimane and Karl Lagerfeld. Slimane, the new head designer at Saint Laurent Paris snapped Iselin Steiro and Daphne Groeneveld with his signature dark and moody image for the cover of the magazine’s March and April issue respectively. While Karl Lagerfeld—of Chanel, Fendi and his namesake label in case you didn’t know—tried something colorful for the December cover, featuring La Linda, in a Fendi yellow fur coat that looked so bright and catchy.
The Demarcheliers, Patrick and Victor, also landed cover job for Vogue Russia in 2012. The father shot the Dolce & Gabbana-clad models trio (Kate King, Anais Pouliot and Ming Xi) for February, while his son shot the October issue featuring actress Scarlett Johansson, who coincidentally also wears Dolce & Gabbana. And she looked good in it!
While the remaining photographers (Anthony Maule/January, Alexi Lubomirski/May, Cüneyt Akeroglu/June, Ellen Von Unwerth/August, and Mario Testino/September) were only shot one slot each last year, British born Richard Bush was lucky enough to secured two cover stints: July issue with Lily Donaldson (our fave), and November issue with Arizona Muse (her second consecutive year appears on the magazine’s front image).
The magazine already released their January issue with Lara Stone, and the editor in chief, Victoria Davydova, continues to work with Hedi Slimane as photographer. Yeah, she likes him that much because she gave him his third cover works in less than a year.

Linda Evangelista for Vogue Russia December 2012
La Linda is wearing Fendi Fall Winter 2012 fur coat on the December cover of Vogue Russia, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. We love the color contrast between the coat’s sleeves, bright lips, her pale skin and that blue-green eyes!
There’s also a gift supplement on the issue which featured Toni Garrn on the cover, photographed also by Karl Lagerfeld.

Featured Article: Flare 2012 Covers Recap
Flare magazine’s Fashion Director Elizabeth Cabral styled most of the covers on this year’s line up for the Canadian monthly fashion publication. Well, that’s because three out of twelve front pages were a reprint.
Scarlett Johansson‘s May cover by Alexi Lubomirski was reprinted from the February 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar US. Michelle Williams‘ July cover was a reprint from her editorial inside the December 2011 issue of Elle UK. Last but not least, Flare‘s December cover featuring Keira Knightley who’s promoting Anna Karenina, was photographed by Terry Tsiolis and published earlier in the March 2011 issue of Elle UK.
As always, Cabral did a great job with the styling for the magazine’s covers this year. She styled Canadian models Jessica Stam in a purple lace Tom Ford dress for January issue (Stam‘s second cover in just four months!) and Coco Rocha in Ashley Rowe vest, Joe Fresh bright orange skirt and Louis Vuitton strappy shoes for February cover.
Revenge star Emily VanCamp wears Emilio Pucci yellow embroidered dress for the March cover by Chris Nicholls, who also photographed Coco‘s cover. Nicole Richie wears Roberto Cavalli‘s gold paillettes jacket and matching skirt for the April cover, while model turned actor Brooklyn Decker wears Peter Pilotto‘s gorgeous sleeveless peplum dress for June issue. Both covers were photographed by Max Abadian who also snapped the total of 7 front pages this year! He also responsible for the covers that’s featured Jessica Stam, Rose Byrne (in Marchesa), Lindsey Wixson (in Prabal Gurung), Milla Jovovich (in Calvin Klein Collection), and Claire Danes (in Fendi)
Flare is always been our favourite magazine because they keep producing beautiful covers. We love most of their covers (even though they used three reprints this year) especially Stam, Decker, Wixson and Jovovich version. Feel free to the links and check out their 2011 and 2010 covers line up.

Kate Upton for Vogue Italia November 2012
Lots of people doesn’t really get Kate Upton‘s appeal on high fashion, but seems like fashion editors are trusting the young sexy 20-year-old American model that she can do high fashion jobs.
She landed the cover of Carine Roitfeld‘s new magazine, going to the MET Gala earlier this year (some said she paid tons of money to be in the prestigious event..), got featured on Vogue US, and now, probably her wildest dream come true, the coveted cover slot of Vogue Italia (her first Vogue cover)! What next, Ms.Upton? A Vogue US cover?
Anyway, for the cover that was styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele and photographed by Steven Meisel, Kate Upton is wearing a Patricia Field bustier and Fendi fur. Her bombshell tresses was done by Oribe, while the make up was the works of Pat McGrath.

Kendra Spears for Vogue Japan December 2012
Vogue Japan is the first fashion publication to round up the 2012 covers!
American top catwalker Kendra Spears, landed the honor to closed the 2012 covers line up from the Japanese Vogue in a total look from Fendi Fall Winter 2012, photographed by Giampaolo Sgura. Even the hair style is very very similar from the fashion show that was held earlier this February.
