Featured Article: Vogue Brazil 2012 Covers Recap

One of the top Brazilian models, Isabeli Fontana is the only 2012 cover girl of Vogue Brazil who landed the cover slot twice! The sexy mom was photographed by by Jacques Dequeker for the June and December issue with the latter being our favourite. The colors are gorgeous and amazing,and Isabeli also looked really great in the image.

Other famous Brazilian models got featured on the cover last year are Tayane Leão, Lais Ribeiro, and Marcelia Freesz (by JR. Duran), Adriana Lima (by Andre Passos), Gisele Bundchen (by Patrick Demarchelier), and Caroline Trentini (by her husband Fabio Bartelt).

The rest of the girls who landed the covers for Vogue Brazil in 2012 are German girl Carola Remer (by Jacques Dequeker), English rose Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (by Henrique Gendre), American actress Sharon Stone (by Alix Malka), Italian stunner Bianca Balti (by Fernando Lombardi), Dutch supermodel Lara Stone (by Mario Testino), and French beauty Constance Jablonski (by Henrique Gendre).

Miu Miu Spring Summer 2013 Ad Campaign

After seasons of celebrities, finally Miuccia Prada starts using models again, and choose powerhouse models and rising new faces to graces the Spring Summer 2013 campaign images of her second line, Miu Miu.

We are really love this Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin-photographed images featuring Malgosia Bela, Arizona Muse, Bette Franke, Martha Hunt, Tamara Weijenberg (she is the winner of Holland’s Next Top Model 2011), Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes. The girls posing in intimate groups or leisurely reclining on satin sheets and bleached-wood paneling, clad in the brand’s spring ladylike denim jackets cut with Sixties couture volumes, pencil skirts and luxurious furs.

Miuccia Prada is definitely choosing THE BEST girls this season with her strong casting and star-filled Prada and Miu Miu advertisement campaigns!

The current face of Donna Karan, Brazilian bombshell Adriana Lima, is landed another cover slot for her homeland Vogue in exactly a year! This time she was photographed by André Passos wearing an exotic feather neckpiece.

Vogue Brazil 2011 Covers Recap

This year’s Vogue Brazil cover models are stellar and fantastic, but some of the covers are not.

My least favourite cover is September issue featuring gap toothed model Georgia May Jagger by Renam Christofoletti. The orange backdrop was just too much it hurts my eyes. Candice’s Swanepoel‘s October cover snapped by JR Duran came in second. The background looked fake! Such a waste of Candice… I love Raquel Zimmermann, she’s one of the world’s most beautiful women, but her June front page by Henrique Gendre was too plain and white. They should’ve added some colors there.

Gisele Bundchen‘s four covers version on July issue, by Patrick Demarchelier and Jacques Dequeker, are not that impressive. I like the concept but there was a cover that’s blurred. Top model and Victoria’s Secret Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio landed the December cover photographed by Eric Guillemain with actor Rodrigo Santoro. I don’t know maybe it’s the Louis Vuitton dress, the red masthead or the background, but it looked similar to Isabeli Fontana‘s September cover of Vogue Mexico, which is better than Ale‘s.

These covers were ok. I don’t like it that much but I’m not really hate it either: Emanuela de Paula‘s January issue by Jacques Dequeker; Freja Beha Erichsen‘s March issue by Henrique Gendre; Aline Weber‘s April issue by James Macari; and Karolina Kurkova‘s November issue by JR Duran.

And my favourite covers this year from Vogue Brazil are: February issue snapped by Fabio Bartelt featuring Adriana Lima‘s angelic face; August issue with Isabeli Fontana photographed by Jacques Dequeker with the great styling to matched the headline “Glam Tropical”; and my ultimate favourite is… Kate Moss, naked and fabulous, on the May issue snapped by Mario Testino!

Donna Karan Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign

30 year old Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima is replacing fellow Brazilian, Isabeli Fontana as the new face of Donna Karan for the Spring Summer 2012 advertising campaign.

The earthy colored yet sultry images were photographed in Haiti by long haired photographer Russell James.

Elle US 2011 Covers Recap

I’m loving most of the subscriber covers of this Roberta Myers edited monthly fashion publication rather than the newsstands. But the contents of the magazine that was first published in 1985 are what I love the most, and that what makes me still subscribing Elle US regardless the cover stars.

Some of the covers that got my attention are: Sarah Jessica Parker‘s January issue lensed by Tom Munro. Even though her face looked awkward on the newsstands cover but that green dress from Halston was a great choice; their first model covers in a long time for October issue photographed by Alexei Hay and crazy styling by Joe Zee; all of the subscriber covers for May issue featuring Adele, Gwen Stefani, Robyn, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Hudson; and last but not least, Freida Pinto‘s subscriber cover for November issue lensed by Dusan Reljin. I love those covers!

The rest of the cover stars are Katie Holmes for February by Carter Smith which is just plain bad and unflattering, ugh!; Katy Perry for March also by Carter Smith in Gucci; Amanda Seyfried for April by Alexei Hay in Prada; Rachel McAdams for June by Alexei Hay (the subs cover was quite unusual); funny lady Emma Stone for July by Carter Smith in Versace; Mila Kunis and her Friends With Benefits co star Justin Timberlake for August by Carter Smith; Gwyneth Paltrow for September by Carter Smith (I’m bored of her and Jennifer Aniston to be honest); and the stunning Jessica Biel for December by Elle US regular photographer, Carter Smith.
