Last year Spring Summer campaign was the super tanned Carolyn Murphy and Isabeli Fontana by Steven Meisel, this year Roberto Cavalli featured the gorgeous Joan Smalls, Laetitia Casta and Malgosia Bela by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot.

Alexander Wang Spring Summer 2011 “Image Piece”

Alexander Wang preferred to called his first ever print ad for Spring Summer 2011 lensed by Craig McDean and features Aymeline Valade (Jan 2011 Vogue Turkey cover girl) as “Image Piece” and will be runs exclusively in Interview magazine March issue and a billboard to be unveiled at the New York intersection of Lafayette and Great Jones Streets on February 7th, 2011.
“We restrained from using those words, because you set yourself up for doing things in a systematic way — like rolling out ads in the magazines certain times of the year. For us, it’s about testing the waters and doing something out of the box. We can get down with this. Like these words you’re reading? They’re not words. They’re letter collages, and they’re totally different from what you see on all the other blogs. We desaturated the colors, even drained her skin color a little bit, to make everything a little more austere” Alexander Wang told WWD.
